Young Justice episode "Bloodlines"

Young Justice: Invasion. Alternatively Young Justice: Yes, With the Actual Characters From the Comic Book This Time. Will Arrowette be replacing Artemis soon?

Okay, first off: Impulse is hilarious. :lmao: As was Beast Boy in his brief appearance. This episode was overall funny, despite the rather dark revelations. If I understand this right, Bart came back because Barry was supposed to die, which apparently was going to cause an apocalyptic-type event (how? Why is Barry so important?) But even though he saved him, the future is still looking dark. I'm getting Dollhouse flashbacks.

In the side plot, we find out that Roy and Cheshire are the worst parents ever and that Lian is a budding psychopath. =D And they found the real Roy. My guess is he'll be evil!Arsenal. Heck, maybe the Light wanted him rescued.

I think next episode is supposed to be the last one for a while...here's hoping it will be good. :-)

The Legend of Korra episode "When Extremes Meet"

So I get it now. Korra is eventually gonna end up with Mako, and then Asami can hook up with Meelo! OTP!

So we finally get some real signs of benders oppressing the non-benders, giving more nuance to the Equalist conflict. But then, my brother pointed out that this falls sort of flat, since the oppression only came after non-benders started to complain about being oppressed, so it still comes off as if the Equalists lack any valid point.

Also, Tarrlok has turned from sleazy to evil, which is sort of a sudden shift. Still, it presents a bit of a mystery about how he got his Bloodbending prowess. Also, were those weird flashes near the end Tarrlok attack the old Gaang?

Parts of this episode confused me. What exactly happened with those non-benders who were arrested? I guess they were protesting the curfew...but what was the deal with the power being out? Do the non-benders live in a separate part of the city or something? Is there some sort of non-bender ghetto that proves the society is already oppressive? But how could they live separately from benders, when benders and non-benders can be in the same family? And how can you instigate a curfew just for non-benders anyway? You can't tell who they are from sight. Are the police just going to stop people on the street and demand they bend something?

So yeah. This episode had some funny parts (when the rest of the "Krew" showed up on the island), some badass parts (the Krew fighting bad guys, Korra and Tarrlok's battle) but also some flaws. I enjoyed it, but it sort of falls apart if you think about it too much.
